Rapid Wrapper is not Australian made, but it sits in this site as a product born out of original Australian ingenuity, design and fabrication.
We manufactured dozens of them, before it became too expensive to compete, so we outsourced the design for fabrication elsewhere.
After one initial batch we re-designed the Rapid Wrapper not only for Australia, but a version also suited to the USA and Canada.
Whereas before we could load using a forklift and a straddle stacker (see video here), now the Mark2 version can also be moved around using a standard 685mm wide Hand Pallet Truck, making it even more versatile.
Rapid Wrapper is also suited to long loads, as there is no film carriage post to worry about. Unusually shaped loads can be easily wrapped too.
Rapid Wrapper takes up very little room in your warehouse as it stores on standard racking beams. Bring it down only when you need it.
Rapid Wrapper makes for the perfect, low cost, on hand back up for when your automated stretch wrapper/s go down.
Rapid Wrapper is the step between stretch wrapping by hand – walking backwards and straining to tension the film, and fully automating the process. It prevents musculoskeletal aches and strains. The operator simply ties the loose end of the stretch wrap film to the pallet, places a foot on the Foot Control and lets the turntable do all the work, whilst he tensions the film according to his needs, using a hand film dispenser. (see video of Mark 1 version here). The operator can stop rotation instantly, by simply taking his foot off the pedal.
A pallet top cover can be also placed over the load, which can then be wrapped into the stretch film wrap for full weather protection.
King Group has even thought about shipping protection. Each Rapid Wrapper is fully crated. The lid and front panel are screwed on, (not nailed, so that it ruins the crate, and presents a cut hazard), so you need only remove the front panel screws and lift the unit out. It is ready to work, the minute you plug it in. Save the crate for any other shipping or storage needs you might have. If you screw the front panel back on, you can load it from the top. It is made from tough plywood, that does not need heat treating for international shipping.
